West Suburban Patriots

an independent Tea Party group in DuPage County, IL

Registered Republican voting in the primary on Tuesday.  Since I'm new to the group, are there any candidates WSP is specifically endorsing? Thanks--Ed

Thanks Carol.  Yes, I think one of the strengths of a group like ours is to share our thoughts and try to reach consensus on the best candidates.  Of course we will not agree in some cases, but by just airing various points of view all of us will gain insight.  I think a list of "tea party worthy" candidates would be very helpful to the membership.  And if we vote our collective will we may be able to replace some of the current crop of who have done such a disservice to this great country.

Hi Ed, there are some tough decisions in this Primary. I've changed my pick for the Governor's race three times! As Jan mentioned, we don't endorse as a group, but as the founder of WSP, for several years I've struggled with how we can be more helpful in recommending "tea party worthy" candidates without outright endorsements. For 2016, I'm going to propose that we take a straw poll of WSP members to find out who the overall favorites are, and publish those results on our website. Do you think something like that would be helpful to members? I'm just seeking some feedback so we can start planning. Thanks!

Sorry, West Suburban Patriots does not endorse candidates.

We have passed on information about candidates and several candidates have stopped by our meetings to introduce themselves.  My best suggestion is, Illinois Tea Party's web site which has great information on the election.  See: http://illinoisteaparty.net/elections-2014/
