Public sector pensions are one of the major contributor to Illinois's finacial problems. I had an idea that I have sent to my rep (Michael Connelly), and two think tanks (Adam Andrzejewski - For the Good of Illinois and Brian Costin - Illinois Policy Institute). All said sounds interesting... Decided to post it here as well...

The cowardly politicians in Springfield have raised our taxes -- voting in the middle of the night, no less -- by 66%!
Where is the outrage? Gov. Quinn says "we had to, it was an emergency situation." Well, if it was such an emergency, why did you have to have the vote just hours before the legislature changed, and in the middle of the night?
