Event Description

Join us on Saturday, December 3rd, from 9am-11am as we close out  2016 with a Patriot's Breakfast Christmas Celebration. We're all bringing brunch items so we can eat, drink and be merry! The price of admission? FOOD! Bring your favorite brunch-type casserole, bakery, treat, juice, etc. to add to the table. Christmas cookies are welcome! If you didn't sign up at our November meeting, drop us an email or call (carol@tolgraphics.com, 630-830-0653) to let us know you'll be there, and what item you'll bring.

Our guest speakers will be the three founding pastors of the Christian Emergency League (christianleague.org): Calvin Lindstrom (Church of Christian Liberty, Arlington Heights), James Pittman, Jr. (New Hope Community Church, Palatine), and John Kirkwood (Grace Gospel Fellowship, Bensenville). Inspired by Dietrich Bonhoeffer and other heroes of the faith who put principles before politics, CEL seeks to be "the conscience of the state" of which Bonhoeffer spoke. Their goal is to call both the pulpit and the politician to accountability. Their excellent podcast, "Here I Stand" is now broadcast on WYLL 1160 AM every Sunday evening from 8-9pm.

This will be a wonderful way to wrap up 2016, center our thoughts on Christmas and the real “reason for the season”, and move toward 2017 with fresh inspiration and motivation.
